Valentine's Day, 2008

Sharman Ramsey and Agatha Bennett hosted the first BOOBS event on Valentine's day, 2008, at Sharman's home on Massalina Bayou.

Crudités with ranch dressing dip and sliced Fuji apples with a delicious fruit dip were offered along with wine, mimosas and sparkling grape juice as guests gathered.

Carrot soup was served as an appetizer in the white porcelain shell bowls.  Yellow rice, Cornish hen seasoned with lemon pepper,  fresh steamed asparagus, and hot croissant rolls with real butter provided the entre´.  Homemade pound cake with real whipped cream and strawberries finished the meal were served with coffee to finish the meal.

Cream Cheese Pound Cake Recipe:  Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Soften together
2 sticks butter
1 8oz cream cheese
Add 3 cups of sugar

Add and beat well after each:
6 eggs

3 cups flour with
1/2 tsp soda
Mix together well and then add
1 tsp. vanilla
Spray pan with Baker's Joy
Bake one hour and twenty minutes.

Slice cooled cake in half

Spread with strawberries sliced and soaked with sugar.  Be generous with strawberry juice to soak into the cake.  Spread Cream and then add another layer.  Ice the cake with the remaining whipped cream.

Whip whipping cream and when peaks form add 1/2 c. sugar (or to taste).  I like it sweet!
